time to go on the road again.

talked with Minerva earlier, we've got a whole crop on the books to track down. thirteen, all told.

bill, now that you're working in a different department, is that going to make things harder, or are you still good with getting us the right sort of paperwork? we're doing reasonably well on polyjuice stores, and we haven't got to the bottom of the supplies from the latest smuggling round, so we can afford to make more. so steve's started making extra batches just to keep on top of things. snape, I'll let you know if we need someone else brewing too, but we should be fine.

we should try to group by region and prioritise so we get to the older ones earlier.

sirius, I know you've been busy with the shop and all, but you game? kingsley, you in too?

macnair, I was thinking that if you could lend a hand, it'd be appreciated. and snape, if you can get away from school for a day or two without attracting notice. if you can't, we'll manage.

al and steve and me are ready to go from moddey as a team. steve hasn't done a lot of field work before, but he's been helpful on the smuggling trips so I think he'll do just fine.

Frank, you know that you are always welcome to whatever polyjuice we can brew, but you would be quite mistaken if you think that Severus is now in control of the ingredients and supplies we have here. Certainly he is our heaviest user, but if he's given you the impression that he's talked himself into control of myour stores, you've been misled.

I am thrilled to discover that you still believe I am interested in usurping your domain. Shouldn't Pomona be the person most concerned?

Pomona cultivates the fluxweed, of course, but as you know, we've shared the work of acquiring and storing (which is to say, hiding) the other ingredients, and, as one would expect you also know, the brewing has been my task. Or perhaps you haven't bothered to notice as you've been interested only in requisitioning our ingredients for your own uses--a significant strain on our ability to provide for others' needs.

And the potions you make are perfectly serviceable, Poppy. Frank was only suggesting that if we needed an additional qualified brewer, that Severus might add a hand. It does take such a long time to do properly, and he's just looking ahead. That's all.

Dora, I'll go if you don't mind. I've got to get to Hogsmeade by the 10th, at any rate. This will get me closer to there, for one, and help me work off some of this excess energy I've had since that spectacle at the weekend.
