Dumbledore, I'm not sure of. But then, Dumbledore himself may have had uses for him even if he were untrustworthy. And the fact that Dumbledore kept his dealings with this man hidden from his Order... is significant. And worth very careful consideration.
But, Frank. Going back a bit. When was this Prophecy meant to have been made? And by whom?
